Parent Cafe - Contextual Safeguarding

Contextual Safeguarding is an approach that recognises the impact of harm outside of the home has on a child's safety and well-being. It goes beyond traditional safeguarding methods by considering the influence of broader contexts such as the home, school, and community on a child's life.

During this coffee morning, we will explore what Contextual Safeguarding means and we will discuss its relevance to our children's safety both within and outside the school environment. Additionally, we aim to explore practical strategies and resources that can support us as parents in keeping our children safe in various contexts.

The session will be facilitated an by a Contextual Safeguarding Coordinator from the Safer Youth Team in Lambeth Council. Your input and insights are invaluable to us, and we genuinely believe that this discussion will empower us as a community to create a safer and more supportive environment for our children to thrive.
